General Behavior Guidelines
Choose safe behavior that supports learning.
Support the student handbook.
Be Punctual & Prepared:
Bring all needed materials and books to class. Be seated and ready to work before
the tardy bell.
Take responsibility for your learning and keep trying.
Do things that support everyone’s learning.
Be Patient & Polite:
Stay in your seat during instruction. Raise your hand and
wait your turn to talk during whole class discussions. Get
permission before touching or using other people’s things.
Give your full attention during teacher instruction or when
a classmate is presenting.
1. Rules in the Lab
Treat equipment carefully.
DISCIPLINE POLICY:
1. If you choose behavior that isn't safe or that doesn't
support learning, it creates a problem, and I will do
something to solve the problem.
2. What I do will depend on you, the situation, and what you
are willing to do to solve the problem.
3. In situations where you and I cannot solve the problem,
we will ask your parents and/or the principal to help us.

1. Rules in the Lab
Treat equipment carefully.
- Do not touch equipment in the lab that is not being used that day.
- Wear safety equipment.
- Do not start the lab until you are authorized.
- Keep in your own space.
- Clean up after yourself.
- If you have an emergency and you cannot finish your work on time, talk to the science teacher FIRST thing in the morning to make arrangements.
- Credit for late work will be given at 50% within 5 school days.
- Late work will not be accepted one week after it is due.
- Excused Absences
- You must make up all assignments missed during an excused absence.
- Assignments that are due the day you missed should be turned in during the next class period that you attend.
- If work was assigned while you were out on an excused absence, you will be given the assignment your first day back in class. You will then have as many class periods as you missed to turn in your work.
- Headings on Assignments
- Your paper must have a heading that includes:
- Name (first and last)
- Date
- Period
- Write the heading on the upper right hand corner of the page.
